Choose Your Stage
Lasting rust treatment is a system, not a single tin. Skip a stage and the rust comes back. Here's the proven 4-stage process the pros use — match your job to the right products.
Stage 1 — Prep & Rust Removal
Strip grease, dirt and loose rust. Clean, etch and create a sound surface for coatings to grip. Products: KBS RustBlast, Klean, paint strippers, metal prep.
Stage 2 — Rust Seal
The heart of the system. A rust-encapsulating coating that penetrates, seals and permanently stops corrosion — even over tightly-bonded surface rust. Products: KBS RustSeal, POR-15 Rust Preventive.
Stage 3 — Primer
A tie-coat / zinc primer that bonds the sealer to your top coat and adds another layer of corrosion protection. Products: KBS XTC, zinc primers, POR-15 Tie Coat / Self-Etch.
Stage 4 — Top Coat
The finish: UV-stable, chip-resistant colour and sheen. Gloss, satin or high-temp for engine and exhaust. Products: KBS DiamondFinish, BlackTop, MotorCoater, POR-15 Top Coat.
